Lock screenClock, weather, wait, dock.
Idle iPad shows a large clock, local weather, estimated wait, and a glass dock with Walk-In, Registered, and Admin.
Check-inWalk-in or 4-digit PIN.
Walk-ins enter name and phone. Registered guests enter a PIN. Admin PIN is for staff.
Barber pickRated profiles, radar, portfolio.
Swipe the carousel. Open a profile for years on the chair, skill tags, a ratings radar, and a 3×3 portfolio.
QueueWaiting, in chair, ready to pay.
Cutzop estimates wait time as twelve minutes times the number of guests already waiting or in the chair. A shop with two people queued shows about 24 minutes. The estimate is a shop-floor heuristic, not a GPS arrival time, and updates as the queue changes on the tablet.
PayStars, QR, or tap card.
Cutzop does not store card numbers on the iPad. Checkout creates a card-present payment and prompts the guest to scan a QR code or tap a card on the Stripe Terminal reader at the counter. Admin staff can mark a chair “ready to pay” from the kiosk supervisor view.
HardwareiPad plus a counter reader.
The recommended front-desk device is an iPad with Cutzop installed as a Home Screen app (Safari Share → Add to Home Screen), Guided Access on, and Auto-Lock set to Never during open hours. The installed app opens the kiosk at /app/barber after sign-in. Pair the shop’s card reader at the counter for tap-to-pay. Receipt printers already at the location keep working.
