Cutzop is an iPad barbershop kiosk. Guests check in, pick a barber, join a chair queue, rate the cut, and pay on the counter card reader — QR checkout or tap to pay. It runs in the browser as a full-screen tablet app.

How does walk-in check-in work on Cutzop?

The guest taps Walk-In on the glass dock, types a first name on the on-screen keyboard, enters a phone number on the PIN pad, then continues to barber selection. Cutzop looks up the phone in shop customers or creates a walk-in profile tagged barber-kiosk.

How do registered guests sign in?

Registered guests tap Registered and enter a 4-digit PIN. In demo, PIN 1234 signs in as Alex Rivera. Live shops can map PINs onto customer records. A wrong PIN shakes the dots and clears the pad.

Does Cutzop replace Square Appointments?

No. Square Appointments is a calendar for booked slots. Cutzop is a walk-in chair queue on a shared iPad: barber discovery, wait-time widget, and counter pay. Shops that live on walk-ins use Cutzop at the door; shops that live on pre-books keep a calendar.

How is wait time calculated?

Cutzop multiplies active queue length (waiting plus in-chair) by 12 minutes per guest. Zero guests displays “No wait.” Staff seating a guest or completing pay updates the widget on the lock screen.

How do payments work?

After the cut, staff mark the session ready to pay. The guest rates the chair with stars and chips, then pays by scanning a checkout QR or tapping a card on the terminal below the iPad. Card data never sits in the kiosk JavaScript as a PAN.

How do I install Cutzop on an iPad?

On Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Open the Cutzop icon so it runs full-screen without Safari chrome, turn on Guided Access, and set Auto-Lock to Never during open hours. Chrome and Edge on Android show an Install button. After sign-in, the Home Screen app opens the kiosk at /app/barber.

How much does Cutzop cost?

Cutzop is $59 per month per signed-in shop account. Demo sign-in on this site is free and does not require a card. Card-present fees are billed by Stripe on top of the subscription.

Wake the lock screen
The iPad shows a large clock, local weather, and estimated wait. The glass dock peeks at the bottom with Walk-In, Registered, and Admin.
Identify the guest
Walk-ins enter first name and phone. Registered guests enter a 4-digit PIN. Cutzop greets them by name before barber selection.
Choose a barber
Swipe the horizontal carousel. Open a profile to see years on the chair, skill tags, a ratings radar (fades, punctuality, talk, beard), and a nine-image portfolio. Tap Join queue.
Wait or sit
The guest returns to the lock screen. Avatars show who is waiting versus in the chair. Staff seat the next guest from Admin → Schedule.
Rate and pay
When the cut is done, the tablet opens checkout: five stars, feedback chips, the total, a QR code, and a tap-card prompt. Payment complete clears the session.

Cutzop estimates wait time as twelve minutes times the number of guests already waiting or in the chair. A shop with two people queued shows about 24 minutes. The estimate is a shop-floor heuristic, not a GPS arrival time, and updates as the queue changes on the tablet.
